SIJU பற்றிAbout SIJU
South India Journalists Welfare Trust (SIJU) என்பது தென்னிந்திய பத்திரிகையாளர்கள் மற்றும் அவர்களது குடும்ப நலனுக்காக தொடங்கப்பட்ட அரசு பதிவு பெற்ற அறக்கட்டளை. 6 மாநில பத்திரிகையாளர்களை ஒருங்கிணைத்து, மருத்துவ, சட்ட, பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் கல்வி உதவிகளை வழங்குகிறது.

South India Journalists Welfare Trust (SIJU) is a government-registered trust founded for the welfare of South India’s journalists and their families. It brings together journalists from six states and supports them with medical, legal, safety and educational help.
The people who gather the news often work with irregular pay, short contracts and real risk in the field. One medical emergency, one court case or one lost job can shake an entire family. SIJU exists to stand with journalists at exactly those moments — with a 24x7 helpline, quick help from the SIJU team, and support that continues after the crisis.
Through the Scholarship Scheme 2026, Wings for Dreams, we aim to support 350 students — journalists’ children and students in need. The Drug-Free Tamil Nadu movement takes awareness and a pledge to 100 schools. Blood donation camps, relief during the Covid period, Pongal Vizha and the Media Cricket Championship all grow from one purpose: to be a shield for those who hold the pen.
